We take pride in our unwavering commitment to protecting our client’s interests and providing superior legal services consistently and efficiently. The firm utilizes the latest document management and trial presentation software, allowing us to handle complex and document-intensive cases nationwide efficiently. At the Woodall Law Firm, we believe in teamwork, and our collaborative approach to handling cases helps us consistently provide high-quality work and maximize results in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Insurance Subrogation, Coverage, and Defense
The Woodall Law Firm and its attorneys have earned the reputation as a “go-to” law firm for insurance coverage, defense, and large loss subrogation cases. We have extensive experience representing domestic insurance companies, managing general agents (MGA), third-party administrators, and syndicates active in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.
Lines of Insurance We Handle
Our attorneys handle insurance coverage, subrogation, and defense cases resulting from fires, explosions, structural collapses, machinery/equipment failures, product defects, premise liability, water, and gas leaks covered by virtually every type of insurance policy, including the following:
- Construction Defect – Builder’s Risk
- Energy and Power Generation
- Wind Energy & Renewable Energy
- Boiler and Machinery
- Marine – Cargo – Inland Marine
- Financial Lines
- Commercial Automobile / Motor Truck Cargo / Heavy Equipment
- Commercial General Liability
- Commercial and Residential Property – Premise Liability
- Director & Officer – Errors & Omissions – Employer’s Liability
Large Loss Insurance Subrogation
The Woodall Law Firm has a proven track record of obtaining significant subrogation recoveries for our insurance clients. We typically handle subrogation matters on a contingency fee basis because it allows us to evaluate the viability of subrogation claims with little or no cost to our clients. We assess cases quickly and efficiently and only prosecute claims with merit.
Ideally, our clients retain us as soon as they learn of a loss so we can coordinate the investigation and evaluate the case with our clients’ claims personnel, forensic consultants, and experts. Our early involvement maximizes our clients’ recoveries while reducing expenses because our attorneys perform investigative activities that adjusters or experts usually charge for by the hour.
Insurance Coverage Analysis & Opinions
In addition to large loss subrogation, our insurance clients hire us to provide insurance coverage analysis arising from a variety of insurance policies, including but not limited to Professional Lines (E&O), Motor Carrier Trucking, Property and Casualty, Energy and Power Generation, Marine, Cargo, and Inland Marine, “All Risk,” Builder’s Risk, Comprehensive General Liability, Auto Liability, Homeowners, Environmental and Manuscript forms.
We provide our clients with accurate advice on the rights and obligations of the parties to an insurance contract, and we routinely prosecute and defend coverage and bad faith lawsuits.
First and Third-Party Liability Defense
Our attorneys routinely handle first and third-party insurance defense cases. We aggressively defend these cases while keeping costs and fees as low as possible with an eye toward a quick and cost-effective resolution. However, if a reasonable settlement is impossible, we will try our case to a judge or jury. We are proven trial lawyers, not just litigators, and we are known for our ability to win at trial.
Commercial Litigation & Business Law
We counsel and represent large and small companies, entrepreneurs, and individuals in all legal aspects of business and commercial matters, including consumer law, contracts, collections, construction, Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), employment law, insurance, international law, liability, purchases and sales of businesses, real estate and leasing issues, securities fraud, trademarks, and valuation. We also assist entrepreneurs and small businesses in selecting and forming the most suitable type of entity to serve their business needs best. Depending on client needs, we have the ability and versatility to perform business start-up services on an expedited basis when necessary.
We have broad commercial litigation experience involving auto and truck accidents, construction defect claims, construction disputes, mechanic’s liens, contract disputes, commercial debt collection, deceptive trade practices, defamation, discrimination, employment, fraud, identity theft, injunctions, homeowners associations, insurance, landlord/tenant, leases, nursing home negligence, personal injury, pharmaceuticals, premises liability, products liability, professional liability, real estate, securities fraud, slander and libel, and wrongful death. We represent both plaintiffs and defendants in cases throughout Texas and nationwide.
